On January 4th, AIQ, an innovative technology company in Abu Dhabi, reached a cooperation agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS). AIQ will serve as the latter's certified partner and bring the energy industry automation solution WellInsight to the AWS platform, providing relevant services to global customers under the platform. Meanwhile, AIQ has also become the first local software service solution provider in the energy sector of the Gulf Cooperation Council to sell its products through the AWS marketplace.

WellInsight is an energy technology solution empowered and driven by artificial intelligence systems, which can help rock geologists and engineers gain a deeper understanding of reservoir characteristics and enhance exploration success rates. AIQ, as a joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and UAE tech giant G42, focuses on the research and commercialization of artificial intelligence products and applications in the oil and gas industry.

WellInsight provides an automated and improved wellbore analysis platform for the global energy industry. ”AIQ CEO Chris Cooper said, "This AI based solution can more accurately determine drilling locations, better understand well conditions, increase production, and reduce carbon footprint

At the same time, oil service giant Halliburton and the consortium Libra led by Petrobras have also reached a cooperation agreement to develop digital twin technology for the Brazilian sub salt ultra deepwater oil field Mero. It is understood that this technology integrates asset sensors, data, and models, including 4D seismic, as well as intelligent well completion through a system with real-time views of reservoirs, wells, and facilities. This will help with asset characterization, active reservoir monitoring, and asset operation planning and optimization.
